Optima Highlights of 2013

Blog by Optima

A great way to start the year was the World Heart Federation Champion Advocates Campaign - the most far reaching targeted campaign we have ever produced.

Other new projects and clients for 2013 included Pipers Crisps (we love the crisps and now we get to work on the brand!), St Francis Group, the largest veterinary buying group in the UK and EQVVS - the fabulous fashion guys.

Both Innes England and JHWalter seemed to call us at the same time needing new websites and more. We have won the design contract for The Sir Joseph Banks exhibition that starts on February 14th 2014 at The Collection and we helped put Lincoln firmly on the engineering map by creating a 16m timeline that means we are the font of all knowledge of Lincoln's amazing engineering heritage.

2013 also saw us win International European Tenders and we are currently finalising the look and style of the ILO (International Labour Organisation) website - one of the major pillars of the United Nations and we created a website for the International Red Cross. In 2013 our exports have risen - the Swiss in Geneva like our work! We are particularly excited about a massive new international project for launch in 2014 that involves people kicking a ball (Isn't it a World Cup Year?) We have been a little quiet on the tweets as so many of our projects are embargoed or very, very hush-hush…

Throughout the year we have continued to build our relationships with our wonderful client base, including Elsoms Seeds, with who we had a fantastic one year review and the World Wide Fund for Nature, for who we produced this years Adoption Catalogue, launched a new campaign for Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust and TATA Steel have asked us to re-design their European website. Branston's website and Potato 2013 stand were massive and successful projects in November and we are delighted to be working with the Lincolnshire Showground again, having re-branded them and carried this through to signage, brochures and more. We were delighted to be awarded the OSJCT website and rebrand in December - what a Christmas present!

So, all in all, 2013 has been a momentus one - 3 new Optima Babies, one new Staff member (hello Jules!) and another about to start, roughly 1,400 pieces of work, 38 new websites created and Mike's Secret Santa, which sticks a little too much in my mind!

Thanks to all our clients for all the wonderful projects you've given us and thanks to everyone at Optima for working their socks off this year and producing some amazing design work. We are having a rest for a couple of days but will be back in full swing from the 2nd January.

Happy Christmas.
